The development of children by providing a comprehensive lifestyle that: – serves the spirit, the soul and the body, through the way they behave – develops their skills and discovers their talents – helps them overcome their challenges, addresses their hardships and needs to achieve the required fundamental change.
The Target Segment
Village children (boys and girls) of the age group of 8-12 years
Service Description
The service is an integrated program (spiritual, behavioural and entertainment) prepared according to the needs of children and the goal/theme of the conference changes every year.
Service is performed through one or more of the following.
1- Children’s retreats during the summer months, when the schools are closed:
- Kids stay for three full days in one of St. Ebraam houses. These houses are equipped with all kinds of hospitality, including excellent accommodation, restaurants, swimming pool, play yards and outdoor games.
- In each retreat, we host 60 boys and 10 servants in addition to 60 girls and 10 female servants from the village or the region, making the total number to be served them in each retreat approximately 140 persons.
- These retreats are also served by a large team of servants from St. Ebraam exceeding 500 volunteers: 20 servants per retreat.
- We receive approximately between 43-45 retreats during the summer, making the total number of servants is around 5500 persons.
- Regional youth from the village, or the region are also trained to offer help and satisfy the psychological and health related needs, in addition to restoring their thoughts, which may have been affected because of the environment they are living in.
2- Home visitations during the winter months when the schools are opened are offered to those who attended summer retreats and to continue follow up:
- This service is offered by the regional servants of the villages who initially participated during the summer retreats.
3- Carnivals:
- two carnivals are arranged during the Nativity and Easter feasts. Each one includes 10 dioceses, serving over 1000 child per carnival, which means that there will be 20 carnivals per year making the number of children served 20,000 per year.
- The local youth also get training to offer similar activities.
